About Me & Contact
My name is Zoe Charokopou, I studied German & Greek Literature at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a Master's Degree in German Language from the Faculty of Humanities of the Hellenic Open University.
Continuing my studies at the Kapodistrian University of Athens, I was excellently certified in adolescent health and psychology training, learning difficulties and dyslexia, charismatic child management and education, and educational psychology.
My mentor and trainer was my grandfather Michalis Heraklianos, a teacher and founder of the private Byzantium Gymnasium, who taught me the value of "living excellently". My instigator and inspiration was my grandfather Panagis Charokopos , the great national benefactor of Greece and founder of the Charokopio School.
I have been teaching German for more than thirty years, having served as a German teacher in all public and private educational levels, from Primary to Higher Schools, as an Oral Examiner at the State Language Certificate and in the Ministry of Education learning opportunities.
In the past I was involved in producing and presenting the radio educational program “Deutsch warum nicht” as a research fellow at the Goethe Institut Athen & Deutsche Welle. I have been an interpreter and attendant at several European sports conferences of the Ministry of Sport.
At the same time, I created with great love my own teaching and learning area, where I still continue to teach German and Greek.
Focusing on the student and his needs, always in tune with the times, I use the latest technological developments, with the ultimate goal of making my lessons a creative source of inspiration for my students, partially detached from the traditional way of teaching.
So with the help of technology, I have been able to teach online for years, regardless of place of residence (Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, South Africa, etc.), with the same quality and the same results as in close teaching. .
Avoiding sterile teaching excites my children, motivates them, and so their success rates in any type of examination and certification are excellent.
I love traveling, not only because it is the greatest source of knowledge and inspiration, but also the best way to broaden one's horizons. I accompany my students on exploratory trips to German-speaking countries and, with the aid of language, help them discover elements of their culture and culture.
In 2011 I began my training in the pioneering method of TOMATIS acoustic psychology , and as a Certified Counselor, I can now be next to the student and help him in any way holistically assimilate Knowledge correctly and effectively.
Since then I have been studying the beneficial effects of the method. Having attended trainings in Cologne, Vienna, Luxembourg, Athens and Zurich, I now incorporate TOMATIS as my Tutor into my teaching method. I want to help everyone by practicing their ear, activating their brain and training their voice, training themselves….
Lastly, recognizing the need for students and their parents to be responsible for their next course, and wanting to be able to support my students psychologically, I was trained and certified as an Education Advisor at the ARISTON TEST for professional orientation and orientation.
I am thankful every day for my husband and our son, because without their support and love I would not have been able to accomplish any of this…
